The work permits customer contact centre can answer general enquiries about work permits.

If you need advice on your immigration status, such as applying for a residence card after you have worked here for 12 months, you should contact the Immigration Enquiry Bureau. You can find their contact details on the right side of this page.

For information on obtaining a National Insurance number, you should contact the Department for Work and Pensions if you are in England, Scotland or Wales:
