Can my dependants come to the United Kingdom under the sole representative of an overseas firm category?

This page explains whether a business person's dependants are allowed to enter and stay in the United Kingdom under the sole representative of an overseas firm category.

Dependants

The dependants of a business person may be admitted to the United Kingdom.

A dependant is a wife, a husband, a civil partner, a same-sex partner, an unmarried partner or a child under the age of 18 years.

Making an application

You should apply for your dependants at the same time as you make your own application, and using the same form. For details of how to apply, see the applying page.

Dependant children over the age of 18 years will have to make their own separate application and pay a fee (see below).

Extending your dependants' stay

You should apply for your dependants to extend their premission to stay at the same time as you make your own application, and using the same form. The page on extending your stay contains more information.

Settlement

If you are applying for settlement (indefinite leave to remain), you should apply for yourself and your dependants at the same time. For details, see the settlement page.

Fees

You will have to pay a fee when you make your application. The cost page contains details of the current fee.
