Can I extend my stay (further leave to remain) under the film crew on location category?

This page explains how you can extend your stay in the United Kingdom if you are part of a film crew filming on location.

If you have successfully applied for entry clearance, you will have a visa that allows you to stay for up to 12 months. If you wish to extend your stay to do further filming, you should apply for further leave to remain.

Applying

You will need to apply for further leave to remain on application form FLR(0). You can download this form and the guidance from the right hand side of this page. For an address to send your application form you should see the section on where to send your application forms.

Fees

You will need to pay a fee when you make your application and you should see the section on fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is my immigration status while my application is being decided?

If you make an application before your authorised stay ends, your existing immigration status will continue until your application is decided, even if the decision is not made until after the end of your permitted stay. If your existing visa or other permission to stay here allows you to work, you can continue to do so until your case is decided.
