Clinical attachments and dental observer posts

This section explains how you can apply to come to the United Kingdom to take a clinical attachment or a dental observer post.

The requirements you need to meet are set out in the Eligibility section.

If you come to the United Kingdom to undertake a clinical attachment or dental observation post, you will be given permission to enter and stay in the United Kingdom for a maximum of six weeks. If you wish to remain in the post for longer than six weeks you will need to apply to extend your stay. You will be only able to extend your stay for six weeks at a time. You will be able to stay in the United Kingdom for a maximum of six months undertaking a clinical attachment or dental observation post.
