Olympic/Paralympic Games visitors
This section contains information for athletes, coaches, officials and accredited media at the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games (also known as 'Games family members') who want to come to the UK before and/or during the Games.
If you are a Games family member, you can apply for a multiple-entry visa known as an Olympic/Paralympic Games visit visa. This visa is valid from the date of issue until 8 November 2012, so it allows you to come to the UK to take part in Olympic and Paralympic activities in the lead-up to the Games in 2012. You can stay in the UK for up to 6 months on each visit.
The visa does not replace the Olympic Identity & Accreditation Card or Paralympic Identity & Accreditation Card. Games family members must apply for these cards through their responsible organisations (such as national and international Olympic and Paralympic committees).
If you are a Games family member who will not be travelling to the UK before 30 March 2012, you might be able to come to the UK without a visa as an Olympic or Paralympic Games family member visitor or an Olympic or Paralympic Games family member child visitor. For more information, see the Olympic and Paralympic Games family member visitors section.
