This page explains what you can do if you are refused permission to enter the United Kingdom.
If you are refused entry into the United Kingdom we will tell you, in writing, the reasons why you have been refused entry, if you have a right of appeal, and when you will be removed from the United Kingdom. If you can appeal, we will give you details of who you should contact.
We may give you temporary admission to the United Kingdom until we make arrangements to remove you. We will give you the conditions of your temporary admission in writing. We may remove you from the United Kingdom without giving you temporary admission. If there is time, we will let you contact any sponsors, your diplomatic representative in the United Kingdom, family, friends or a legal representative. We will provide an interpreter if you need one.
