The following organisations and tests have been withdrawn from the list of approved English language test providers for tier 1 of the points-based system.

These tests will not be accepted as evidence of English language skills for tier 1 applications submitted after 11 September 2008.
Any application received after this date that include one of the above courses as evidence of English language skill will be refused as the applicant will not have scored 10 points for English language.
Any applications made on or before the 11 September 2008 that included one of the courses listed below as evidence of English language skills will be considered as usual.
Any applications made on or before 11 September 2008 that included the CSCT Standard Test for English as evidence of English language skill will be required provide additional evidence of English language skill. Applicants who fall into this category will be contacted and given 10 weeks to undertake and alternative English language qualification.
If the applicant does not pass the alternative test on the first attempt, we will not hold the application open to allow for more attempts to be made. The application will be decided on the basis of the evidence already supplied. In these circumstances, we will refuse the application because the applicant will not have scored 10 points for English language.
