Changes to the UK visa service in Norway

On 5 March 2012 we will be closing our visa application centre at the British Embassy in Oslo. This will be replaced with a visa service which will be available 3 times per week from 5 March 2012, in partnership with WorldBridge Service. A mobile biometric clinic will be set up in Oslo to allow customers to continue to supply their biometric information, required to apply for a UK visa, without having to travel to another UK Border Agency office outside Norway.
Using the new mobile biometric clinic will be simple. You will continue to submit your application online. After you have paid your visa application fee you will be given the option to book an appointment at the biometric clinic at WorldBridge, Regus Oslo Aker Brygge, Filipstad Brygge 1, 0252 Oslo.
The clinic will be open every Monday and Tuesday from 09:30 to 16:30 and every Wednesday from 09:30 to 12:00. You must book an appointment online before going to the clinic. The service will cost €146.17 plus local taxes in addition to your visa application fee. You will be supplied with a pre-addressed envelope to post your application to us. Your passport and supporting documents will be returned, by courier, directly to you once we have made a decision on your application. The visa processing time for applications submitted in Stockholm or at the clinic in Oslo will remain in line with our published processing times.
If you do not wish to use the clinic in Oslo you will be able to apply at the free to use visa application centre at the British Embassy in Stockholm. If you are applying for a visitor visa or an EEA family permit you can apply also apply at any UK visa application centre across the world.
