Biometric enrolment pilot evaluation
The identity cards for foreign nationals programme has issued a publication document that is an evaluation of the recent biometric enrolment pilot carried out at the UKBA Public Enquiry Office in Croydon. The pilot has successfully demonstrated that the process is effective and the technology resilient enough to enable the programme to proceed to full implementation, which is on track to commence on 25 November.
