Migration Advisory Committee report: First recommended shortage occupation lists for the United Kingdom and Scotland


The initial task for the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) was to produce shortage occupation lists for the United Kingdom and for Scotland, for use under Tier 2 of the points-based system for migration. The committee published these lists on 9 September 2008.

As part of the research for the occupation lists the MAC commisioned research which considered which occupations to include.
