    1. VAT return

      VAT is value added tax, a tax paid by a person who buys or uses most goods and services and collected by businesses and self-employed people who provide the goods or services if their annual turnover exceeds a defined amount. A VAT return is an official record of VAT collected that is sent to HM Revenue & Customs each year.

    2. Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations

      The Vienna Conventions on Diplomatic Relations is an international treaty on diplomatic intercourse and the privileges and immunities of a diplomatic mission. It gives a private servant employed in the household of a member of staff of a diplomatic or consular mission diplomatic privileges and immunity.

    3. Visa national

      A person who is a national or citizen of certain countries and will always require a visa to come to the United Kingdom. These countries or territories are listed in Appendix 1 of the immigration rules. Some visa nationals may pass through the United Kingdom on the way to another country without a visa, but in some circumstances they will require a direct airside visa or visitor in transit visa.
