Work permits and accession worker cards
Where do I send the application forms?
This page explains where you should send your application forms.
Application forms should be sent with supporting documents to the addresses below. For further information on what supporting documents we will need you must read the Bulgarian and Romanian guidance, which you can download from the right side of this page.
If you are applying for a registration certificate except as a highly skilled person (form BR1), a residence card (form BR5), or a family member residence stamp (form BR6), you must send your completed application, together with the specified fee, to the following address:
Home Office - BR Applications
PO Box 640
If you are applying for a registration certificate as a highly skilled person (form BR2), an accession worker card (form BR3), or an accession worker card as an authorised family member (form BR4), you should send your completed application to the address below. There is no charge for an application made on these forms:
PO Box 4160
Please see the Applying section for further information. To help us record receipt of your application we recommend that you send it recorded delivery or special delivery and keep the relevant number.
We will return all your documents by recorded delivery and a signature is required by Royal Mail upon receipt of recorded delivery items. If Royal Mail are unable to deliver the documents and you do not receive a response from you within the specified timescale, they may return documents to the Home Office who will send your passports/ID cards to the relevant Embassy. If you want your passport and other documents returned by Special Delivery, you will need to provide a suitably sized special delivery envelope with the correct pre-paid postage.
If you wish to arrange a courier to collect your documents please let the Bulgarian and Romanian caseworking team know by fax on 0114 207 5873 or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org and they will contact you to let you know when and where your documents will be ready for collection. Please be aware that the Bulgarian and Romanian caseworking team will not sign for documents from the courier company or pay for this service.
We offer a same-day service for applications on forms BR1, BR2 (except those applicants applying under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme), and BR3, by appointment only at the public enquiry office (PEO) in Croydon. Please book an appointment online before you attend.
We are able to consider applications from married partners and civil partnerships, but regret we are unable to consider applications for unmarried partners at the PEO.
