This page explains how you should apply for a licence to be on the register of sponsors for the points-based system if you are a franchise.

If you are an organisation, sole trader or partnership that has a number of franchises under your control, you can apply for a licence as a head office and all United Kingdom branches or have each franchise licensed individually.

If the franchises are separate businesses, not under the control of the parent organisation, each franchise must be licensed as an individual sponsor.

Terms explained

  • Branches

Branches are different offices, locations, or campuses of an organisation that has two or more of these.

  • Head office

The principal location, or headquarters, of an organisation that has offices in more than one place.
