Tier 2 - intra-company transfers
This page explains what you should do if you are transferring employees within an organisation to a skilled job under Tier 2 - intra-company transfers of the points-based system.

This category is for multinational organisations transferring employees to a skilled post in a branch of the organisation based in the United Kingdom. The transferring employee must have at least six months experience of working for the overseas organisation.
In order to gain a licence to sponsor intra-company transferees, a company or partnership must show that it has a direct link by common ownership (one entity owns the other, they have a common parent entity or they are part of the same entity) with overseas entities from which it intends to bring migrants to the United Kingdom. You must be operating in the United Kingdom.
The requirement is that you must have a direct link with the overseas organisation from where you intend to bring migrants to the United Kingdom either by:
- common ownership (one must own at least 51% of the other); or
- both being part of a group of organisations controlled by the same parent or holding organisation; or
- in the case of a partnership which provides accounting services along with managerial and/or consulting services, where both organisations market their accounting services under an internationally recognised name under an agreement with a worldwide co-ordinating organisation that is owned and controlled by the member accounting firms.
If you own shares in two or more companies, this does not mean that you can apply under the Tier 2 - intra-company transfers' category.
You must send in documentation to confirm the link between the overseas organisation and the sponsoring organisation.
