Camden Borough Council accessed the sponsorship management system and issued a certificate of sponsorship shortly after the system went live on 27 November 2008. Shane Lynch, head of the council's HR Direct human resources department, says:
'The new system is user-friendly and pretty intuitive. The various fields that need completing are self-explanatory. The look and feel of the site is also quite good. I thought it was clear and free of clutter. I reviewed the support material and completed a number of tutorials before logging in, which was helpful.
'The only area where I had a slight delay was around the dates the job started and ended - I had requested four years but didn't realise that the maximum for Tier 2 is three years. A quick search of the UK Border Agency website clarified that.'
