Additional services in Malaysia
This page describes the additional services that are available from our commercial partner, VFS Global, to visa applicants in Malaysia.
These services are optional, and are available for an additional fee.
Priority visa services
You can use our priority visa service to have your visa application processed ahead of others. Under normal circumstances, a priority visa service application will be processed within 3-4 working days. The cost of this service will be 392 Malaysian ringgits which must be paid in cash when you submit your visa application.
You can apply for your visa using our priority visa service if you are a:
- business visitor;
- Tier 1 high value migrant;
- Tier 2 skilled worker;
- Tier 4 child student;
- Tier 4 adult student applying to attend a higher education institution; or
- air crew joining aircraft.
We strongly recommend that you do not use this service if you have any form of adverse immigration history.
Using the priority service does not imply or guarantee that you will be successful in your visa application. All visa applicants must meet the requirements of the UK Immigration Rules. We will not refund the fee for the priority service, or the visa application fee, if we refuse your visa application or if, in exceptional cases, it takes longer than 4 working days to process your application.
VFS Global offers an SMS service which updates you on the progress of your UK visa application. It will send an automated message to your mobile phone at various stages of the visa application process. This is followed up by an automated message to your email address, telling you about your visa application's status.
The SMS service is available in English and Bahasa Malaysia. (Local SMS only)
The visa application centre will courier your documents back to you through ABX courier (fee payable) within West Malaysia and East Malaysia.
The visa application centre has a photo booth which takes photos that meet the UK Border Agency requirements.
Computers are available for applicants to fill in their application forms on line.
