VFS additional services in India
This page describes the additional services that are available from our commercial partner, VFS Global, to visa applicants in India.
These services are optional, and are available for an additional fee. If you want to use them, you must pay the fee when you attend your appointment at the visa application centre. You can find more information and the fees for these services on the VFS Global in India website.
Super priority visa service
The super priority visa service is optional and costs Rs 51000 (£600 including taxes), in addition to the standard visa fee. Our target is to process super priority visa applications on the same day that they are received. To use this service, you must book an appointment, and attend our New Delhi or Mumbai visa application centres, between 08:00 - 09:30, Monday to Friday. You can book an appointment online. You will be required to provide biometric information as part of the application process. Eligibility - This service is available to customers who:
Are applying for a 6 month or 2 year multiple entry visitor visa (excluding student visit visas) and
Have travelled without difficulty in the last 5 years to one of the following countries: UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or a Schengen country.
Or are employees of companies that are members of the Business Express Programme (managed by UK Trade and Investment in India) and are travelling as an official business visitor.
Customers are advised to read and sign the terms and conditions before applying and submit the signed copy with their visa application. We strongly recommend that customers with any form of adverse immigration history do not use this service. Using the super priority visa service does not imply or guarantee in any way that your visa application will be successful. All applicants must meet the requirements of the UK's Immigration Rules. Fast Track Service
The UK Border Agency will prioritise the processing of your visa application and return of your documents. Customers may request this service if they are applying for a visitor visa (excluding student visas) and have travelled without difficulty in the last five years to one of the following countries; UK, US, Australia, New Zealand, Canada or a Schengen country.
Prime Time Service
You may submit your UK visa application outside the normal opening hours in the following visa application centres: New Delhi, Mumbai (North and South), Chennai, Pune and Bangalore.
SMS service
The SMS service updates customers in India on the progress of their UK visa applications. The easy to use SMS service sends an automated message to the applicant's mobile phone at various stages of the visa application process. This is followed up with an automated email message to the applicant's email informing them of the status of their visa application. The SMS text is available in English and Hindi.
Premium service lounge
The VFS Premium Service Lounge facilities are available at the visa application centres in Ahmedabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore and New Delhi.
