The level 1 user for this company, which had registered as a Tier 2 sponsor, logged into the sponsorship management system as soon as the points-based system for Tiers 2 & 5 went live on 27 November 2008.

'I found the process surprisingly straightforward,' he says. 'Once I had created and assigned the first certificate of sponsorship, it didn't take long to create the others I needed.'

The company has chosen to use online card payment to speed up the process of assigning certificates of sponsorship. The level 1 user says: 'The whole process went very well and was neither complicated nor onerous.'
