Help with hearing our website

This page tells you how you can make your computer read aloud the content of our website.

Using screen readers

You can make your computer read websites out loud by using screen reading software, such as JAWS, Thunder or ReadPlease. You can find out more about these screen readers from the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) website.

If you are using a screen reader, we hope you will benefit from our use of meaningful headings, link text and alternative text to navigate our websites. We have also tried to make tables and PDF documents as accessible as possible. If you do come across a PDF document you cannot access, you can use the Adobe online PDF to text conversion tool. If you do not have a PDF reader you can download Adobe PDF Reader for free from the Adobe website.

See Help with accessing PDF documents for further information.
