This section explains how you can contact us with an enquiry if you are applying for a visa from outside the UK, or if you are the sponsor of a visa applicant.
Advice and deciding which visa to apply for
Our staff and our commercial partners cannot give you help or advice on completing your application, or on deciding which visa you should apply for. Please use our Do you need a visa? tool to find the appropriate type(s) of visa for you.

Commercial partners process visa application on behalf of the UK Border Agency. The commercial partners handle enquiries relating to visa applications made outside the UK. As contact details differ for each country, we must refer you back to the relevant country site.
If you want to contact us, please select your country on our Visa application centres overseas page. This will take you to the web section for your country, where you can:
- make an enquiry, a complaint or a comment about us - select 'Contact us' on the left hand menu of the country selected; and
- track the status of your application, if you are in a country where our commercial partners (Worldbridge and VFS Global) operate - select 'Visa processing times'.
Please note that you cannot prioritise your application unless there are exceptional or compassionate circumstances.
